“the musicians all hail from bandung, west java, a very famous place for music and bands – a lot of indonesia’s most famous groups come from there. our current lineup includes asep subagja S.sn, asep “black” sukmana S.sn, gun gun permana S.sn, tedi supriandi S.sn, andre triyandi S.sn, and rudi “ewok” S.sn. the S.sn stands for sarjana seni, which means they have their masters degree from the A.S.T.I. arts university in bandung, one of the highest regarded music and arts schools in indonesia. all of them are multi instrumentalists, each playing some combinaion of percussion, suling (bamboo flute), kecapi (a zither-like guitar instrument) and gamelan (a set of tuned gongs and bells) also, both bagja and black perform vocals as well.”
